Freespirit acting is an innovative drama group whose aim is to create professional actors by looking at their inner selves...and much more!! We provide actors for local TV series, theatre productions and animations.
There is a lot of nonsense said and written about acting, most relayed by people who have never acted, some of whom, might have spent some time with someone who is a performer. I have benefited these past 11 years of my life in studios, rehearsal rooms and on set, directly observing the acting process, and more importantly what leads up to the acting process, day after day. It is overwhelming and at the same time fun, to personally witness the transition in a person's character and watching one person merge or dissolve into another character.
True acting entails a great deal of patience, application and loads of hard work. Make no mistake; I know it is rather frowned upon to link hard work with fun, especially in this country's mentality, where hard work is linked with boredom and fun linked with foolishness! Nevertheless, the two should not be mutually exclusive.
Acting is one of those extraordinary, sometimes frustrating passions wherein the less of it you seem to be doing, the better you appear to be doing it. As I suspect is true in most arts.
Always trust your first instincts. No matter how good you are, they will be proven wrong sometimes, but you cannot really express yourself if your SPIRIT isn't FREE.
After journeying through masses of rehearsals, plays, filming, seminars, spiritual sessions, drama, theatre and performance arts lessons - I believe that theatre simply is To observe yourself and listen carefully to your inner feelings and you'll be free to feel.free to talk.free to think and free to ACT!!
